More than 300 Villagers turned out last Sunday for a beautiful sunny afternoon by the lake. Burgers and hot dogs were served and folks enjoyed baggo and miniature golf before heading inside to watch the premiere of the Cherokee Village episode on HGTV's Lakefront Bargain Hunt.
More than 1.6 million people tuned in to HGTV to watch the 30-minute episode that featured Ted & Amanda (owners of Gearhead Outfitters in Jonesboro) search for a family lake house getaway. Local realtor Jason Rhodes of King-Rhodes & Associates Real Estate Company showed the couple four homes before they settled on the one that most fit their family. The episode did a fantastic job showcasing lakefront living in Cherokee Village and the natural beauty of the area. The buzz created by the show comes the perfect time as the Village prepares to kick off the summer season.
