A large group of Village Pride volunteers came out on Saturday, May 14 to start the first phase of under brushing at Papoose Park to open up the vistas of the rock glades running along Otter Creek and up to the park's iconic water fall. The above picture shows an early (1960's) view of Papoose Park with the waterfall and rock glades in the background.
Last year, Village Pride did a similar project at the adjoining Rosebud Park to open views to Lake Cherokee. The Papoose Park project will be completed over a several week period. Thanks to Village Pride volunteers, Suburban Improvement District, City of Cherokee Village, American Land Company and Cox Powersports for their support of this project.
