Itty Bitty Book Box Project

The Art Center of North Arkansas (ACNA) is pleased to announce the addition of the "Itty Bitty Book Box," a free library located at Town Center.

Citizens of Cherokee Village now have a new way to share their love of reading thanks to Highland High School students Shelby Grace Hopkins and Bella Gordon. The project is sponsored by Highland High School's Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).

The Itty Bitty Book Box is a very small library housed in a very small blue box located just outside the Art Center at Town Center. Anyone can drop by at any time to pick up a book or drop off a book for others to enjoy.

What started as a simple high school project, wound up as a state award winning effort. While the concept of a small library isn’t new, the name “Itty Bitty Book Box” is the brainchild of Miss Shelby Grace. In June, the IBBB project will go to the National FBLA Convention in Atlanta, Georgia with Shelby and Bella.

Special thanks goes to Kasey Carter, FBLA sponsor, along with the agriculture students at Highland High School. This project will be an on-going community service project by FBLA. The IBBB project was facilitated by Diann Dennis, a member of ACNA, and other Art Center volunteers.
